They are reinforced versions of porcelain facade tiles, produced by applying a fiberglass (glass-fiber) mesh to the back side of the tiles. The mesh support offers substantial benefits in terms of structural strength and impact resistance, particularly in large-format or thin porcelain tiles.

By minimizing the risk of breakage, this system provides a safer and more reliable solution throughout manufacturing and installation. Mesh-reinforced ceramic tiles are used on facades where external forces—such as high wind loads or increased building height—are significant, in order to improve system reliability and safety. It is compatible with all facade cladding systems.

It is preferred in projects where safety and durability are prioritized, such as high-rise buildings, facades exposed to high wind loads, exterior surfaces exposed to weather conditions, and public or commercial buildings.

Mesh-Reinforced Strength

The glass-fiber mesh backing gives the tile additional mechanical strength. This minimizes the likelihood of cracking throughout transport, cutting, and installation, providing a safe and durable facade system.

Wind and Load Resistance Compatibility

Mesh-reinforced facade ceramics offer enhanced durability for high-rise structures and locations subject to high wind pressures. It balances load distribution on the back surface of the tile, enhancing the structural performance of the facade system.

Compatibility with Mechanical Installation Systems

Mesh-reinforced facade ceramics work seamlessly with adhesive applications, mechanical clip systems, and all other facade cladding systems.

Cybele Tile porcelain tiles have redefined industry standards in EN ISO 10545-4 (Breaking Strength) tests conducted by accredited laboratories.

TS EN 14411

According to TS EN 14411, tiles with a thickness of ≥ 7.5 mm must meet a minimum breaking strength requirement of 1300 N.

The standard ceramic formats used in facade applications include 30×60 cm, 60×60 cm, 80×80 cm, 60×120 cm, 80×160 cm, 100×300 cm, and 120×280 cm. Among these, 60×120 cm has become the most widely specified size in contemporary facade projects.

Specialized Mesh Application and Curing Process

Recognized as a “life-saving detail” in high-rise structures, our mesh reinforcement process is implemented under stringent industrial standards and controlled production protocols.

Special Chemical Formula:

Adhesives with complete resistance to water, alkali environments, and thermal shock are employed to ensure long-term performance and durability.

Industrial Curing Oven:

Following mesh application, the ceramic tiles undergo treatment in our high-temperature industrial curing ovens. This controlled process ensures molecular-level crosslinking of the adhesive with the porcelain substrate, resulting in superior bond strength and enhanced structural performance.

Maximum Safety:

In the event of extreme structural damage, the fully cured mesh reinforcement preserves panel integrity, mitigating the risk of fragment detachment and uncontrolled fall.
